Linamar Corporation in Southfield, MI is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer to perform routine to moderately complex inspections and set quality standards for in-process and finished products. You will develop test methods, sampling plans, and training programs while supporting continuous improvement efforts.

You will collaborate with plant quality and process engineering teams to determine critical features, modify tolerances for cost-effective production, and participate in PPAP in support of

Competenze

• Three years of related experience in quality assurance.
• Experience with APQP, PFMEA, Gauge Planning, and all levels of PPAP requirements.
• Experience in drawing interpretations and geometric dimensioning tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to train other employees, organize and lead meetings, and write engineering test protocols.
• Proficient with MS Office and CAD applications; familiar with ISO/IATF16949 quality standards.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with Plant quality engineers and process engineering personnel to determine critical part features and review manufacturability of design.
• Make recommendations to modify customer part specifications and tolerances as necessary to support cost effective production.
• Provide support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques; assist in resolution of quality issues with capability and material concerns by identifying problems and implementing action plans.
• Effectively communicate and reinforce commitment to quality improvement efforts and notify proper personnel when required.
• Assist in PPAP process for new product launches to meet customer requirements.
• Aid with process stability and capability studies; review and analyze results and recommend changes.
