Job summary

Vaco is seeking a JR Quality Engineer in Oakland Park, FL to design and implement a Quality Management System, establish key metrics, and drive a continuous quality improvement program across products and processes. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• ASQ Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
• 2-4 years in Quality Assurance in manufacturing
• Experience in developing/implementing Quality Management Systems

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement a Quality Management System per ISO-9001:2015
• Implement quality metrics and statistical tools to improve product performance
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions and acceptance test procedures
• Develop Quality Control Plans for production lines/processes
• Develop production process controls for product compliance and performance
• Perform on-site quality audits and manage supplier corrective actions
• Evaluate and manage customer complaint and corrective action system
• Develop test plans for new product development and releases
• Model company values and support team initiatives
• Perform other duties as needed
