Job summary

Leidos, via its Kudu Dynamics subsidiary, is seeking a Junior Python Developer to join a security-focused team building backend services and tooling.

You will work with senior developers and DevOps to implement API integrations, tests, and CI/CD improvements, while learning new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with TS/SCI and Counter-Intelligence Polygraph clearance.
• 1–3 years of experience in Python development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience scripting in Python and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab version control and CI/CD concepts.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and web applications.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and command line tools.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases.
• Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Ability to troubleshoot software issues in a collaborative environment.
• Strong willingness to learn new technologies and mission domains.
• Self-starter requiring moderate supervision.
• Intelligent, proactive, and driven to achieve results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based backend services and tooling.
• Support troubleshooting and bug fixing across development and test environments.
• Assist with API integrations and data processing workflows.
• Write and maintain unit/integration tests.
• Support CI/CD pipeline improvements and automation efforts.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and sprint activities.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00
