Job summary

The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA, is seeking a Junior Publicist A/Photo Editor to support the Photo Publicity team across films, TV, and talent. You will help coordinate photo shoots, manage requests, edit photos, and liaise with photographers, production partners, and internal teams.

This IATSE Local 600 Publicist Guild position requires 3+ years in entertainment, proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and a DAM system, and the ability to work onsite four days a week with some remote Fridays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in film/entertainment or related creative industry.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom) and DAM system.
• Onsite four days per week; Fridays remote with flexibility; evenings/weekend events as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Photo Publicity publicists on campaigns from production through theatrical/home entertainment release.
• Assist with planning and coordinating cast, filmmaker, and production photo shoots.
• Coordinate schedules, call sheets, travel, locations, equipment, catering, and other shoot logistics.
• Communicate with photographers, photo editors, talent representatives, managers, production teams, and studio executives.
• Help organize and maintain photo assets, contact sheets, metadata, credits, and image archives.
• Assist with distributing approved publicity photography to domestic and international media outlets.
• Track photo requests, approvals, usage, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Prepare and circulate photo selects, galleries, contact sheets, and other publicity materials.
• Support red-carpet events, premieres, junkets, press days, festivals, and other publicity activities.
• Monitor photo coverage and maintain records of placements and campaign activity.
• Help assist Senior Photo Team with Editing photos

The Junior Publicist supports the Photo Publicity team in the execution of publicity campaigns for the studio’s films, television projects, and talent. This role assists with coordinating photo shoots, talent and filmmaker requests, press materials, events, photo editing and day-to-day communication with internal teams, photographers, production partners, and external media. This is an IATSE Local 600 Publicist Guild position covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience, ideally within film, entertainment, media, or a related creative industry
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) and Film Solutions or other DAM system.
• Must be available to work onsite 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday). Fridays are remote with flexibility to work onsite as needed. Additional flexibility for evening and/or weekends events required.

The pay rate for this role in Burbank, CA is $48.58 per hour.
