  • Collaborate with QA to ensure product quality and specifications are met.
  • Assist in budgeting and expense tracking to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Maintain project files, timelines, production notes, materials, samples, and supplier agreements.
  • Monitor market trends and provide insights to support design decisions.
  • Proactively identify risks and propose mitigation strategies for delays or shortages.
  • Work cross-functionally with design, marketing, and sales for seamless launches.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to support the development and production of leather goods and accessories. This position will assist in managing multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring that quality, budget, and timelines are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leather goods and accessories craftsmanship and a keen eye for fashion trends, coupled with strong project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating the development and production of leather goods and accessories, working closely with design, production, and procurement teams.
  • Timeline Management: Ensure project timelines are maintained by tracking deadlines, milestones, and deliverables for product development cycles.
  • Vendor Communication: Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials, obtain quotes, and monitor production schedules to ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • Cost Management: Assist in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost efficiency throughout the production process.
  • Documentation: Maintain project files, including timelines, production notes, materials, samples, and supplier agreements.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay updated on leather goods and accessory trends, and support the design team by offering insights into current market trends and competitor analysis.
  • Problem Solving: Anticipate potential issues and proactively offer solutions to mitigate project risks, including delays or material shortages.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless product launches and alignment across departments.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, fashion management, business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in project management, ideally in the fashion, leather goods, or accessories industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, or similar).
    • Knowledge of leather goods manufacturing processes is a plus.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Basic knowledge of budget management.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
