Summary

This role is central to ensuring radar program activities are effectively planned, coordinated, tracked, and reported to support the successful deployment of cooperative and integrated non-cooperative/cooperative radar systems.

The Junior Project Manager will manage 10–20 projects per year with a high-volume infrastructure focus. This role will develop and maintain integrated program schedules, support earned value and performance analysis, identify execution risks, and assist program leadership in implementing mitigation strategies to support a compressed, nationwide deployment schedule. This position requires strong analytical capability, organizational rigor, and the ability to communicate complex program data clearly to internal leadership and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage 10–20 infrastructure projects per year, executing work across multiple sites using established processes, tools, and delivery models.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute projects through installation, testing, commissioning, system acceptance, and closeout.
  • Develop, maintain, and update the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) supporting multiple radar sites executing in parallel.
  • Integrate schedule, cost, and scope data across engineering, installation, commissioning, and system acceptance activities.
  • Collaborate with radar manufacturers, engineering leads, site teams, subcontractors, and FAA stakeholders to gather planning inputs and define task dependencies.
  • Utilize project control and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to identify critical paths, track progress, and monitor performance against baselines.
  • Perform schedule and cost variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting to identify potential risks and execution impacts.
  • Support earned value management (EVM) activities, including performance measurement, analysis, and reporting as required.
  • Prepare and deliver program status reports, dashboards, Gantt charts, and briefings for internal leadership and FAA customers.
  • Support development of corrective actions, recovery plans, and mitigation strategies for identified schedule or cost risks.
  • Ensure program control activities align with contractual requirements, FAA processes, safety considerations, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, program execution, or project controls supporting infrastructure or technical deployment projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling and tracking tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess schedule and cost performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex program data clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High level of organizational discipline and attention to detail in managing schedules, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Ability to work effectively across distributed teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • US Citizenship to successfully base a government issued background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting FAA programs, air traffic management systems, or large-scale federal infrastructure modernization efforts.
  • Experience supporting multi-site deployment programs with parallel execution schedules.
  • Knowledge of radar systems, NAS infrastructure, or complex technical system deployments.
  • Prior experience working with FAA stakeholders or within a regulated aviation environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
