Texas A&M International University in Laredo, TX is seeking a Programmer I to code, test, and modify software applications under general supervision. The role supports the Center for Earth and Environmental Studies (CEES) and campus IT operations.

Responsibilities include documenting processes, assisting with CEES equipment maintenance, and collaborating with OIT to manage multiple server platforms on campus.

Qualifications

• Education – Three years towards a bachelor’s degree (generally 90 hours).
• Experience – Experience in computer programming preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS or other computer related field is preferred.
• Two or more years experience relevant to CEES projects.

Responsabilités

• Codes computer programs.
• Performs computer program test and validations.
• Modifies computer programs to correct problems and implements changes.
• Writes operations instructions and other documentation for programs.
