Job summary

Baim Institute for Clinical Research in the United States seeks a Junior Programmer/Analyst to support clinical study data imports, transfers, validation, programming, and documentation. You will work with Data Management and senior staff to maintain workflows, develop data-processing programs, support EDC uploads, and ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in a related field and knowledge of Python, SQL, XML, and SAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Zero to three years of relevant programming, data analysis, database, data management, or clinical data experience
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Python, PowerShell, SQL, SAS, XML, or Oracle
• Working knowledge of structured data, databases, mappings, transformations, testing, and validation concepts

Responsibilities

• Prepare, transform, upload, and validate clinical study data from CSV, Excel, XML, JSON, SAS, and other approved formats
• Maintain and troubleshoot programming and scripting for data loading, extraction, transfer, validation, reconciliation, and reporting
• Develop or modify data-transfer programs and mappings based on client specifications
• Create, parse, transform, and validate XML files and mappings; support CDISC XML formats
• Review source and output data for completeness, accuracy, and metadata; ensure proper transformations
• Develop and execute test cases, investigate discrepancies, and maintain validation evidence
