Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Junior Program Analyst to support recurring, statutory-cadence program reporting for a large federal advisory program. You will help produce monthly status reports, assist with quarterly risk updates, and maintain logs for issues and escalations.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree, 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. The position is based in McLean, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years total experience.
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience (internships counted).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Basic data analysis and reconciliation skills across multiple data sources.
• Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet fixed reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly status reports.
• Support quarterly risk register updates.
• Maintain the issue log and escalation report, updated monthly.
• Pull and reconcile data across multiple sources; ensure Section 508 conformance.
• Support formatting and production of executive briefing materials and other deliverables.
