Job summary

Weissman in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Product Development Assistant to join the Product Development team and gain hands-on experience moving products from concept to completion.

In this entry-level role, you will help manage product information, track samples, and prepare products for fittings, photography, and other milestones. Collaborate across Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Sample Operations while learning how ideas become finished products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in apparel-related field preferred.
• Less than one year of experience in apparel product development or coordination.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate product development information and records in PLM/PDM systems.
• Update style details and materials throughout development.
• Track development and photo samples through the product lifecycle.
• Maintain sample statuses and communicate updates to keep timelines on track.
• Coordinate sample intake, labeling, and distribution across teams.
• Prepare samples for fittings, internal reviews, and photography.
• Ensure samples are delivered accurately and on time to support needs.
• Maintain organized seasonal development files and documentation.
• Collaborate with Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Sample Operations to move samples and information.
