Job summary

BENTELER Group in the United States is seeking a Professional Process Engineer to support the Area Manager and engineering team in optimizing finishing equipment and implementing improvements.

You will troubleshoot production issues, train staff on finishing processes, develop procedures, and contribute to Lean programs and 5S while ensuring safety and quality. This role offers full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of automation equipment including PLC, HMI, and industrial networks.
• Strong data acquisition and evaluation skills.
• Knowledge of statistical data evaluation.
• Detail oriented with analytical problem-solving.
• Strong safety awareness and experience.
• Seamless Pipe Mill experience a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Area Manager and other Process Engineers in optimizing equipment and implementing improvements.
• Troubleshoot, advise, and resolve design, process, and production quality issues.
• Assist in training production and maintenance staff on the Finishing process.
• Assist in developing procedures for pulpit controls, HMIs, and setup instructions.
• Collaborate with team to address equipment issues.
• Optimize production systems during shift and off hours.
• Assist in developing work procedures, PMs and LOTO.
• Participate in down days, outages and special projects.
• Participate in 5S and Lean manufacturing programs and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis meetings to rectify production issues.
• Participate in safety activities to meet goals and ensure professionalism.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
