Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists in Dallas seeks a PLC Technician with a hands-on electrical or electronics background to solve real-world problems and make systems work. You will translate electrical drawings into configurations and test them on real hardware.

Responsibilities include on-site commissioning, documenting findings, and supporting continuous improvement projects within automation and controls environments.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Graduation year 2022–2026.
• Experience in PLC programming, automation, and related hardware.
• Exposure to Python, MATLAB, Arduino programming, Raspberry Pi, Ladder Logic/PLC, or C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Translate electrical drawings and I/O lists into application configurations.
• Test configurations in simulation and on real hardware - EtherCAT devices, motorised rollers, sensors, safety I/O.
• Support commissioning on site as buildings go live.
• Document findings, test results, and technical recommendations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
