Job summary

Shaw Group is seeking a Piping Designer for an early career role on a Tyler, Texas project. The role focuses on developing accurate 2D and 3D piping deliverables, including layouts and isometrics, while coordinating with engineers and other disciplines.

You will work with CAD and 3D modeling tools to ensure coordinated designs, perform self-checks, and adhere to project standards and codes. This is a full-time on-site position supporting process and utility systems in Tyler.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate or diploma in drafting, design, piping design, or related technical discipline preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and markups.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 2D and 3D piping design deliverables per project requirements.
• Create piping layouts, isometrics, plot plans, and related documents.
• Produce 2D drawings from sketches and redlines under direction of Lead Designers.
• Coordinate drawings with other disciplines and incorporate markups accurately.
• Use CAD/3D tools to develop clash-free piping designs and conduct self-checks.
