Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal related experience or shelter volunteering
• High-school diploma or GED preferred
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming as a career
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and grooming practices
• Capable of handling pets of all sizes with care
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform limited grooming services: bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, gland cleaning
• Ensure well-being and safety of every animal in the salon
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide optimal customer service
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain records
• Learn and adhere to Petco grooming policies and guidelines
