Job summary

Petco Grooming is hiring a Junior Pet Stylist for a ten-week training track where you learn bathing, drying, nail trimming and brushing with guidance from seasoned groomers. You’ll work in a busy grooming salon, learn safety protocols, and build foundational skills for a longer Petco career.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal related experience or related volunteering.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming.
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior and grooming practices.
• Available to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited grooming services under supervision: bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning.
• Ensure animal safety and well-being at all times in the salon.
• Provide professional customer service and address grooming inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized grooming area and equipment.
• Schedule appointments and maintain grooming records.
• Learn Petco grooming policies and standards to ensure consistency.
