Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist to learn bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning and more under seasoned groomers during a ten-week program.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal related experience preferred
• High-school diploma or GED preferred
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming
• Ability to handle pets of all sizes with care
• Effective verbal and written communication with pet parents
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform limited grooming: bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area; disinfect tools and equipment
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain grooming records
• Learn and adhere to Petco grooming policies and guidelines
