Job summary

Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist in Baltimore to learn bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning under experienced groomers. You will prioritize pet safety and comfort and deliver excellent customer service to pet parents.

This entry-level role offers on-the-job training, weekend/evening shifts, and opportunities for growth within grooming. The environment is indoors with modern equipment and supplies provided to support daily tasks.

Qualifications

0–1 year of animal-related experience (e.g., shelter volunteering or pet sitting).
High-school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Genuine passion for animals and desire to pursue a career in pet grooming.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform limited grooming: bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, gland cleaning.
Ensure safety and well-being of every animal in the salon.
Interact professionally with pet parents and provide excellent customer service.
Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment.
Schedule appointments, manage paperwork, and keep accurate grooming records.
Learn Petco’s grooming policies and maintain safety, quality, and consistency.
