Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is offering a Junior Pet Stylist trainee position in our grooming salons. You’ll learn bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning under experienced groomers, with hands-on practice during Weeks 1–10 of the program.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal related experience preferred.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue grooming.
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior and grooming practices.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform limited grooming services including bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning according to instructions.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon at all times.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide optimal customer service.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area; disinfect tools and equipment and perform sanitation tasks.
• Schedule grooming appointments, manage paperwork, and maintain records.
