Job summary

Petco in the United States is hiring a Junior Pet Stylist in Grooming. This ten-week training program teaches bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, and more, with hands-on guidance from experienced groomers. You will build foundational grooming skills and begin your career in a supportive, pet-loving environment.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Genuine passion for animals and desire to pursue a career in pet grooming.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform limited grooming services including bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning and gland cleaning.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon at all times.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide top customer service.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area and sanitize tools/equipment.
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain accurate records.
• Learn and adhere to Petco grooming policies and standards.
