Job summary

Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist to begin a grooming career with a ten-week training program in bathing, drying, nail trimming, and related skills. You’ll work under seasoned groomers to learn proper techniques and safety, while delivering friendly service to pet parents.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal related experience or grooming assistant exposure.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred though not required.
• Genuine passion for animals and interest in grooming career.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform basic grooming tasks: bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of every animal in the salon at all times.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean, disinfected grooming area and tools.
• Schedule appointments and keep grooming records accurate.
• Adhere to Petco grooming policies and standards.
