Job summary

A leading technology firm in Austin, Texas is seeking a Software Engineer to implement Pega solutions and work on application development. Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, and hands-on programming skills in Python or Java. Responsibilities include collaborating with Agile teams, implementing case lifecycles, and developing user interfaces. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on programming skills in Python/Java with a good understanding of OOP.
• Good understanding of distributed computing and Cloud services.
• Knowledge of Data Science, AI, ML, and Decisioning.
• Basic knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs for system integration.
• Basic Docker/Kubernetes knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Implement case lifecycle using Pega App Studio and Dev Studio.
• Build user interfaces (UI) and dashboards within Pega.
• Work with REST/SOAP APIs for system integration.
• Collaborate in Agile teams, participating in daily stand-ups.
• Develop applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Skills

Programming skills in Python and/or Java

Distributed computing

Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Data Science/AI/ML knowledge

Understanding of data structures & algorithms

Basic knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs

Basic knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes

Understanding of messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ)

Familiarity with CI/CD tools

SQL proficiency
