Job summary

Bow Wave LLC is seeking an entry-level QA tester to support the design and execution of functional test cases for Pega applications. You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and senior QA team members to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.

You will help validate system functionality, document defects, and assist with test planning and regression testing within Agile sprints, contributing to quality across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Foundational QA principles and testing concepts.
• Ability to read requirements and translate into test steps.
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and execution of functional test cases for Pega applications.
• Work with developers, business analysts, and senior QA team members to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in validating system functionality against documented requirements.
• Help identify and document defects and follow up on resolutions.
• Participate in test planning and estimate testing effort under guidance.
• Maintain and update regression test cases, results, and testing checklists.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support testing during each sprint.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to promote quality standards across the SDLC.
• Review and analyze test results, raising potential risks or issues for senior QA team members.
