The role acts as the day-to-day point person and chief of staff for assigned matters, collaborating with client-relationship

Qualifications

• Experienced complex commercial litigator with strong substantive and procedural skills.
• Strategic thinker with attention to detail and big-picture focus.
• Highly organized, responsive, and capable of managing multiple demanding matters.
• Strong writer and oral advocate with persuasive argumentation.
• Deposition and trial experience in state and federal courts.
• Proven leadership to manage attorneys and litigation teams.
• Client-focused with ability to develop relationships with existing clients.
• Willing to become a true case leader and partner in the practice.

Responsibilities

• Take primary day-to-day responsibility for assigned complex commercial litigation matters.
• Develop overall case strategy with client-relationship partners and translate into actionable plans.
• Manage litigation teams, deadlines, discovery, experts, motions, depositions, hearings, and trial prep.
• Serve as primary internal and external point of contact for assigned matters.
• Identify risks and keep matters moving with minimal oversight.
• Delegate and supervise work by associates and paralegals.
• Review and refine filings and other work for timeliness and strategic alignment.
• Prepare client-relationship partners for hearings and negotiations, stepping in as needed.
• Help build efficient systems for managing the firm’s growing docket.
