Job summary

ANG SIGNAL is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team supporting a federal government client in the Washington, DC area. You will manage enterprise LAN/WAN, configure Cisco routers and switches, and ensure secure, scalable connectivity.

This on-site role requires hands-on experience with data centers, cabling, security devices, and cloud migrations. You will develop topology diagrams and SOPs while coordinating with admins and project teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a Network Engineering role.
• Cisco Routers and Switches hands-on experience.
• Hands-on experience with physical network deployment, data center racking, and structured cabling.
• Firewall configuration experience preferred.
• Experience with Aruba wireless and Fortinet firewalls is a plus.
• Understanding of project management processes and terminology.
• Ability to multitask and set priorities.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on network and cabling issues.
• Support LAN and WAN infrastructure, remote sites, and data centers.
• Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues for uptime.
• Install, wire, and test networking equipment in data centers and telecom closets.
• Coordinate with admins to facilitate troubleshooting efforts.
• Participate in lab configuration and testing of new technologies.
• Prepare topology diagrams and write SOPs and maintenance plans.
