Job summary

Telguard in Atlanta is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and support back-office applications and Windows Services using C#, .NET, and .NET Core. You will work with experienced engineers and collaborate with Product Management and QA to deliver reliable software for internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, SQL Server data solutions, and maintaining secure, well-documented code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Software Eng.
• Entry-level professional experience, internships, or student projects with C#, .NET, or .NET Core; familiarity with Windows Services and SQL Server is preferred.
• Ability to complete well-defined software assignments with guidance.
• Willingness to learn and adapt, and to communicate progress clearly.
• Foundational debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and learnings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and support maintainable .NET back-office applications and Windows Services.
• Contribute to Windows Services, back-office processing, RESTful APIs, and data solutions.
• Deliver features and fixes with coding, design reviews, testing, and production support.
• Develop and optimize Microsoft SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and basic data solutions.
• Follow engineering standards for coding, testing, security, logging, and deployment.
• Assist with modernization using current .NET/.NET Core patterns.
• Collaborate with QA to improve test coverage and release confidence.
• Support deployments, monitoring, and incident learning.
• Participate in design/code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Work with Azure Pipelines and Octopus Deploy for builds and deployments.
