Job summary

Teva Pharmaceuticals in the United States is seeking a Device Engineer II to join our Combination Product Development team. You will develop CAD models and test fixtures, support device development, and work under design controls to ensure product quality.

The role offers hands-on experience in drug-delivery systems, collaboration with QA, Regulatory, and Manufacturing, and exposure to ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and 21 CFR Part 820 in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
• 0-2 years pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device experience.
• Strong foundation in engineering principles and an interest in medical devices.
• Hands-on lab experience with physical testing or mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and testing fixtures using SolidWorks or equivalent to support device development and manufacturing.
• Perform physical testing of drug delivery devices (injection force, time, dose accuracy) using lab equipment (Instron or Zwick).
• Set up, execute, and document testing activities in accordance with protocols and GDP.
• Support development, verification, and validation of test methods under senior guidance.
• Assist in evaluating device components (stoppers, barrels, springs) for fit and quality.
• Participate in basic root cause investigations of product or test deviations.
• Contribute to technical reports, data summaries, and documentation for design verification and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with QA, Regulatory, and Manufacturing to support development activities.
• Learn and apply ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21 CFR Part 820 in daily work.
