Framatome in Lynchburg, VA, invites you to join as an Early Careers Mechanical Engineer I. This full-time onsite position offers hands-on design, development, and testing work within the nuclear energy sector, supporting safety and reliability of power systems.

You will work under a mentor, apply standard engineering practices, and grow through CAD modeling, programming exposure, and collaboration with senior engineers. A Mechanical Engineering degree and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
• Exposure to CAD modeling and programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard engineering assignments in design, development, analysis, testing, and field tasks.
• Resolve quality events and prepare specifications; support testing and evaluation.
• Develop awareness of government regulations and industry standards with senior staff support.
• Under mentor's guidance, apply standard techniques with minor adaptations.
