Wunderlich-Malec Engineering (WM) in Oakdale, MN is seeking a Junior Mechanical Drafter/Designer to support layout, modeling, and implementation of mechanical systems for industrial projects. You’ll perform 2D drawings, 3D models, and collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, project managers, clients, and vendors to meet specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting/Design, or a related field.
• AAS in Design/Drafting with equivalent experience considered.
• 0-5 years of experience in mechanical design and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in layout/design, 3D modeling, and development of mechanical systems for multi-domain projects.
• Create and maintain 3D models, GA drawings, P&IDs, piping isometrics, and construction documents using CAD software.
• Coordinate designs with architecture, electrical, structural, and other stakeholders to ensure code-compliant systems.
• Conduct field data collection, measurements, and site observations; size and select components under guidance.
