Nesco Resource, LLC is partnering with a manufacturing equipment company to place a Mechanical Engineer in Tucson, AZ. This role focuses on supporting engineering tasks, documenting changes, and performing light design under supervision.

You will learn from senior engineers while contributing to reliability and manufacturability improvements. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in mechanical engineering with 1–2 years of related experience or training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of related experience or training.
• Ability to apply mechanical engineering principles to technical problems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical information and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong attention to detail when preparing drawings, documentation, and engineering changes.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, production teams, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Create and update engineering drawings using SolidWorks and manage documentation through EPDM.
• Prepare engineering change requests and maintain accurate design and process documentation.
• Support design reviews focused on manufacturability, cost, reliability, and safety.
• Create and modify parts and assemblies within an ERP system to support purchasing and production.
• Assist with custom tooling design and modifications, including molds and dies.
• Support process development and production activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Help customers with technical questions, project coordination, installation, and equipment operation as needed.
