Job summary

DENSO's Machine & Tool Division in Maryville, TN is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design automation solutions from concept to review. You will model in SolidWorks, detail assemblies, and prepare drawings while coordinating with electrical for controls concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 1–5 years of relevant professional experience (Co-op or internship acceptable).
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other 2D drafting software.

Responsibilities

• Onsite investigation to understand customer problems and project scope with some travel.
• Create solutions through concept development, cost estimation, and design review docs.
• Present design reviews with customers and division management.
• Perform mechanical design: 3D modeling in SolidWorks, component specs, and drawing creation.
• Collaborate with electrical to develop machine controls concepts and documentation.
• Work with build technicians to address mechanical issues during construction.
• Update final drawing package and create operation manual.
• Provide on-site modification investigation support with possible travel.
