Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I in the United States. You will support optimization of manufacturing processes, work with Production, Quality Assurance and R&D, and help implement new technologies while maintaining cost-effective processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 0-5 years of manufacturing experience, with CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and ERP exposure preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and ERP systems preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exposure to automation and robotics preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support optimization of manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist in designing and improving manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts.
  • Support workflow and layout analysis under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Help maintain process control techniques to reduce costs.
  • Participate in implementing new manufacturing technologies and methods.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop and implement QC procedures.
  • Assist with manufacturability reviews and documentation for new products.
