Job summary

Jump Start Stores Inc is seeking an Entry-level Maintenance Technician I to support the maintenance team in Wichita, KS. You will perform basic maintenance, assist with repairs, and help ensure equipment and facilities stay operational and safe.

You will inspect systems, document work, and follow safety protocols while collaborating with senior technicians and the Maintenance Supervisor. No extensive experience is required, but a willingness to learn is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in maintenance preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks on equipment, machinery, and building systems as instructed.
• Conduct routine inspections and report findings to senior team members.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and minor repairs.
• Replace or repair basic components such as belts, filters, faucets, or door handles.
• Maintain and organize tools, parts, and maintenance equipment in designated areas.
• Document completed work, parts used, and time spent in the maintenance log.
• Follow safety protocols to keep a clean and hazard-free work environment.
• Support preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned tasks.
