Job summary

Health Catalyst is seeking a Junior Interoperability DevOps Engineer to support systems enabling reliable healthcare data exchange across client ecosystems. You’ll work with experienced engineers, implementation teams, and interoperability experts to gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies, automation, and clinical data processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in software engineering, cloud operations, data engineering, DevOps, or related role.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Foundational SQL skills to query and analyze data.
• Experience with Python or another scripting language.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation testing, validation, and go-live activities for new client deployments.
• Review clinical documents and metadata to identify data quality or configuration issues.
• Assist with validating mappings (patient, organization, facility, custodian, OID, MRN).
• Document findings and communicate issues to project teams and senior engineers.
• Help troubleshoot implementation-related issues and support production stabilization.
