Job summary

FHLB Dallas is seeking an auditor to participate in planning and conducting audits across financial, compliance, operational, and IT areas. You will assess compliance with bank policies and laws, and evaluate efficiency of processes under supervision.

You will prepare workpapers, assist in drafting audit recommendations, and interact with auditees and management. Strong MS Office skills, detail orientation, and analytical mindset are essential; CIA/CPA eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; 18 accounting credits and 3+ hours of computer science courses acceptable substitution.
• CIA or CPA eligibility is preferred.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills including advanced skills with Excel and Word.
• Sufficient communication, project management and interpersonal skills.
• Detail orientation and analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts audits of financial, compliance, operational and IT areas.
• Determines efficiency and effectiveness of processes and procedures.
• Establishes audit objectives, plan and data collection with supervision.
• Prepares audit workpapers and reports for auditee.
• Presents findings and recommendations to management.
• Assists in providing consulting on internal controls and accounting matters.
• Supports external auditors as assigned.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
