Job summary

JPC Architects, LLC in Bellevue, WA is seeking an Interior Designer to join our collaborative firm. You will develop space plans, contribute to design concepts, prepare client-ready visuals, and support documentation through construction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • 2+ years of commercial interior design or interior architecture experience.
  • Basic understanding of commercial space planning and programming principles.
  • Strong graphic, presentation, and visualization skills.
  • Growing knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction documentation.
  • Familiarity with furniture systems, FF&E specifications, and interior materials and finishes.
  • Understanding of lighting design fundamentals and commercial interior detailing.
  • Skilled at pulling together materials, colors, and textures in cohesive and creative ways.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, receive feedback constructively, and collaborate effectively within project teams.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD, Enscape, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in internal project visioning, design discussions, and team collaboration.
  • Develop preliminary space plans, programming documentation, and design concepts.
  • Assist with design development presentations, visualization packages, and client-facing materials.
  • Conduct site verifications and site surveys to document existing conditions accurately.
  • Assemble finish/material, furniture, and lighting palettes; research products and assist with specifications and selections.
  • Support the production of interior architectural documentation from planning through construction documents, including drafting construction drawings and incorporating revisions.
  • Assist with consultant coordination, technical detailing, and project documentation.
  • Support senior team members with construction administration activities, including submittals, contractor questions, and construction progress reviews.
  • Build positive relationships with project teams, clients, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to client service and contribute to project goals, schedules, and budgets.

The salary range for this role is $64k - $78k/year, depending on professional skill sets and experience.
