Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Junior Interior Design Coordinator in Sacramento, CA. You will assist the interior design team under a Senior Interior Designer, contributing to space planning, interior architecture, materials palettes, and documentation for projects, in collaboration with the architectural team.

This hybrid role emphasizes hands-on development of BIM models, coordination with project designers, and adherence to codes, ADA, and LEED requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of accessibility codes and building codes.
• Ability to develop floor plans, elevations, and details.

Responsibilities

• Supports interior design teams in the development of design documentation.
• Participates in the development of interior design in accordance with cost parameters and ensures interior design intent is maintained through documentation and construction.
• Develops the interior design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats to express the design intent and coordinate with Project Designer.
• Utilizes BIM technologies in the development of three-dimensional models of interiors and their components.
• Performs Construction Administration tasks to support the scope of work.
