Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools in Arizona is seeking a dedicated teacher with a Bachelor's degree and SEI endorsement to join our campuses. You will implement instructional activities, assess student needs, and collaborate with staff to support meaningful learning experiences.

This role requires passing a criminal history background check and may involve travel between campuses. A state teaching certificate is preferred and we encourage ongoing professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Implement instructional activities that engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Identify, select, and modify instructional resources for diverse learners including varying backgrounds and needs.
  • Utilize direct instruction to guide students through activities promoting growth in social, physical, and intellectual development for primary grades.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff; collaborate with peers to enhance learning environments.
  • Meet professional obligations, deadlines, and participate in staff meetings and training.

Education
  • Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
  • Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide our students through a variety of activities designed to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth that is needed for primary school success!
  • Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.
  • Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
  • Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
  • Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
  • Participate in training and staff meetings.
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules and coordinating meetings as needed.
  • Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments.
  • Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives.
  • Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required. Participate in events outside of normal hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications That Set You Up For Success
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain
  • The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Up For Success
  • A current teaching certificate from within the state position is located.
Physical And Travel Requirements / Work Environment
  • Travel between campuses is required from time to time.
  • This position requires the need to lift objects (up to 25 pounds) on occasion.
  • This position may require sitting for long periods at times, talking on the phone, standing, kneeling, stooping and long periods of concentration.
  • Local and in-state travel required.
