Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Iowa Coaching Authorization or endorsement preferred or obtainable before season start.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification or ability to obtain prior to season.
• Coaching education and concussion awareness trainings completed per IGHSAU and district policy.
• Experience coaching basketball; middle/high school experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Organize, supervise, and administer all aspects of the junior high girls basketball program.
• Teach fundamentals, promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and student growth.
• Coordinate practices, game-day logistics, and equipment management.
• Maintain safety, monitor student eligibility, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with activities director, administrators, and coaching staff.
