Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is recruiting a junior faculty member in the Hematology Department to advance translational coagulation, vascular biology, and gene therapy projects. The role emphasizes research, teaching, and developing innovative programs within the division and at the medical center.

The successful candidate will conduct independent and collaborative research, mentor students and fellows, and contribute to education and departmental development in a dynamic, well-funded environment.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO or equivalent degree.
  • 3+ years related experience in research field and/or lab experience assisting with the preparation of data for presentation at scientific meetings.
  • Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor appointment or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides faculty coverage as needed within the department. May take a role in the development of departmental policies, procedures and standards.
  • Research, Teaching and/or Training: conduct research independently or collaboratively and mentor trainees; contribute to research and teaching.
  • Service and/or Administration: lead program development and departmental policies; serve as a leader in the division and center.
  • Scholarly Activity: demonstrates ongoing commitment to scholarly activities and develops externally funded research initiatives.
