Job summary

Kettering Health Network in Miamisburg, OH seeks an Integration Engineer I to support design, implementation, and maintenance of data integrations between KH applications and third-party systems. The role covers analysis, development, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure secure data exchange in line with healthcare regulations.

You will join a team focused on reliable interfaces, HL7 configurations, on-call support, and adherence to KH standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or four (4) years of relevant integration engineering experience in lieu of degree.
• 0-3 years of experience as an integration engineer or related field.
• Epic Bridges Certification or obtained within 6 months.
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, administer, and maintain data sharing/transmission among KH applications and external, third-party systems
• Adhere to all applicable regulatory, security, and privacy standards (HIPPA, KH policies, etc)
• Manage the entire life cycle of interface development, including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and support
• Coordinate the implementation of interfaces into production with internal and external stakeholders
• Configure and troubleshoot HL7 integrations using healthcare standard frameworks
• Participate in on call and triage rotations to support incident response and resolution
• Adhere to change management processes related to integration systems
• Document integration specifications, workflows, modifications, and operational guidelines in accordance with KH standards
