Job description

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated Junior Graphics Designer (JGD1061) to join our team on a full-time contract basis. The Junior Graphics Designer will support the development of visual content for branding, marketing, communications, digital campaigns, presentations, and broader business initiatives across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in visual communication and graphic design, a willingness to learn, and the ability to translate creative concepts and business requirements into polished, professional, and engaging visual assets under the guidance of senior designers and creative teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in developing original graphic concepts and visual designs for digital, print, marketing, and corporate communications projects.
  2. Create social media graphics, presentations, advertisements, brochures, newsletters, reports, flyers, promotional materials, and branded content.
  3. Design and update visual assets for websites, email campaigns, digital platforms, internal communications, and marketing initiatives.
  4. Collaborate with marketing, communications, product, and business teams to understand project requirements and creative objectives.
  5. Translate creative briefs, campaign messaging, and business concepts into clear and visually effective design solutions.
  6. Apply established brand guidelines consistently across typography, color, imagery, layouts, and other visual elements.
  7. Edit, retouch, resize, and optimize images and graphics for various digital and print applications.
  8. Prepare production-ready files while ensuring designs meet required technical specifications and quality standards.
  9. Manage multiple design assignments simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting project deadlines.
  10. Participate in creative reviews, brainstorming sessions, and design discussions while incorporating constructive feedback into final deliverables.
  11. Maintain organized libraries of design assets, templates, source files, graphics, and brand materials.
  12. Research emerging graphic design trends, creative technologies, software, and visual communication techniques to support continuous learning and development.
  13. Assist with basic motion graphics, animation, video editing, and interactive design projects when required.
  14. Coordinate with senior designers, printers, vendors, agencies, and external creative partners as needed to support accurate production of digital and physical materials.
  15. Identify opportunities to improve design templates, creative workflows, production processes, and asset organization.
  16. Ensure completed designs align with brand standards, project objectives, accessibility considerations, and quality expectations.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
  2. 0-2 years of professional, internship, freelance, academic, or equivalent experience in graphic design, visual communications, marketing design, or a related creative field.
  3. Strong portfolio demonstrating foundational experience with digital design, print, branding, marketing, social media, or corporate communications.
  4. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  5. Working knowledge of typography, color theory, composition, visual hierarchy, layout, and fundamental design principles.
  6. Experience creating graphics for websites, social media, email campaigns, presentations, advertising, or other digital channels is preferred.
  7. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent visual standards across multiple design projects.
  8. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with senior designers and cross-functional teams.
  9. Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate ideas into clear, polished, and visually effective designs.
  10. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
  11. Familiarity with Figma, Canva, After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar creative tools is a plus.
  12. Basic knowledge of motion graphics, animation, UX/UI design, video production, or interactive media is an advantage.
  13. Ability to work independently when appropriate, seek guidance when needed, accept constructive feedback, and continuously develop creative skills.
  14. Strong willingness to learn new design tools, technologies, techniques, and industry practices.
Compensation & Contract Details

Annual Contract Rate: $55,000 - $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, creative skills, and scope of responsibility.

Employment Type: Full-time Contract.

Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Contract Term: Initial contract assignment with potential for extension or renewal based on business needs, project requirements, and performance.

Work Arrangement: Remote or hybrid, depending on organizational and project requirements.
