Junior Graphic Designer – Washington DC

Significance is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to support the Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) G-7 COMMSTRAT branch in creating high‑quality visual products that enhance communication strategies. The designer will produce graphics for digital, print, and multimedia platforms, ensuring all work aligns with DoD and Marine Corps standards.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design visuals that convey communication objectives to specific audiences.
• Prepare final files for production across multiple platforms (web, social media, print).
• Collaborate with communication specialists, photographers, and videographers to deliver integrated, impactful messaging.
• Maintain an organized archive of graphic assets and support development of materials for events, campaigns, and official publications.

Required Skills

• Experience creating visual products, including graphics, illustrations, and layouts for digital and print media.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
• Ability to translate communication objectives into effective visual concepts tailored to key audiences.
• Knowledge of formatting requirements for web, social media, and print.
• Skill in creating graphics in various formats (.pdf, .jpeg, .gif, .eps, .PSD, vector files) for official communications.
• Familiarity with lifecycle management of visual information products, including archival standards.

Desired Skills

• Experience working in military or government communication environments.
