Job summary

BoxLunch is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to support marketing initiatives by creating assets for print and digital media. You will assist the creative team, edit photos, build print-ready files, and prep digital assets for emails and the website.

The role operates on a hybrid schedule from our City of Industry, CA headquarters, three days a week. You will work with Adobe Creative Suite—Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD—and collaborate across campaigns.

Qualifications

• Proven design chops and experience in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; XD; Workfront; and knowledge of Figma.
• 1–2 years graphic design experience (in-house or agency).
• Able to follow brand guidelines and maintain consistency across deliverables.
• Open to constructive feedback and revisions to future work.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

In the role, you’ll support the creative team in developing a wide range of creative assets – both print and digital. This is a broad reaching role that covers designing creative assets based upon approved campaigns, photo editing and retouching, building print-ready file, preparing digital assets for use in emails and on our website. You’ll also support digital asset management by maintaining files, digital assets, and server organization. This role operates on a hybrid schedule and will require to work from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA, three days a week.
Pay range
$24.04 - $28.85 an hour
Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting, but other factors such as an individual’s education, location, meeting the minimum job requirements for the role, training, and experience, will determine the final salary for potential new hires.

What You'll Do

• Under direction of the Art Director, develops new, original graphics and design elements for future email and brand marketing campaigns.
• Prepare files for final delivery for print and digital formats
• Help design layouts for print and online content including in-store signage, website, emails, social, and other digital and print applications
• Maintain organized working files, final assets, and project documentation.
• Communicate and interact well with peers, supervisors and client representatives (be a team player)
• Accept assigned projects and covers designing creative assets based upon approved campaigns, execute materials based on specs provided from supervisor.
• Attend appropriate meetings on the projects assigned
• Manage assigned projects and tasks through Adobe Workfront, including reviewing project details, tracking deadlines, and maintaining accurate project status.

What You'll Need

• Proven design chops and experience in Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Workfront and Adobe XD is required. Experience with Figma is a plus
• At least 1-2 years of graphic design experience (in-house or agency) including photo editing, retouching, and clipping
• Ability to follow established brand guidelines, style guides, and approved creative concepts while maintaining consistency across deliverables
• Ability to take constructive feedback and creative direction well, make requested revisions, and apply feedback consistently to future work
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Familiar with Prepress techniques, packaging and file preparation.
• AA in Graphic Arts preferred or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of pop culture
