Job summary

Brivo invites a junior GRC professional to join our Austin security team, offering high visibility and broad exposure across Engineering, Legal, HR, and leadership. You’ll gain dedicated time to learn enterprise security frameworks while supporting policy, training, and risk reporting.

With 0–2 years of IT or compliance experience, you’ll grow through hands-on audits (ISO 27001, Soc2 Type 2, CSA Star, CAIQ, NIS2, DORA) and security metric updates, under strong mentorship.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in IT, tech support, compliance, or business operations.
• Baseline understanding of IT/security fundamentals.
• Willingness to pursue industry certifications.
• internship or academic capstone project experience.
• Strong skills with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
• General IT literacy including basic networking, OS, and cloud concepts.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk).
• Excellent attention to detail and precise communication.
• Clear, diplomatic written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly coachable and receptive to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security policy and process documentation per best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in creating and delivering employee security training.
• Respond to information requests from third-party audits and customer inquiries.
• Support internal and external audit work for ISO 27001, Soc2 Type 2, CSA Star, CAIQ, NIS2 and DORA.
• Update security metrics for executive risk reporting.
• Stay current on security best practices, threats, and regulations.

Description

This is a junior role with High Visibility & Broad Exposure: Unlike siloed roles, GRC touches every part of the business. You won’t just be sitting in the IT department; you’ll collaborate with Engineering, Legal, HR, and Executive Leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain security policy and process documentation per industry best practices and to meet regulatory and compliance requirements
• Assist in the creation and delivery of employee security training
• Respond to Requests for Information from third party audits and customer security inquiries
• Support internal and external audit work for ISO 27001, Soc2 Type 2, CSA Star, CAIQ, NIS2 and DORA
• Update security metrics for executive management consumption of risk reporting regularly
• Maintain current knowledge of security best practices and emerging threats and regulations
