Role Description

The Junior Golf Coach / Program Assistant is a part-time, on-site role located in Charlotte, NC. This role supports the delivery of youth golf programs by assisting with setup and breakdown of equipment, organizing practice stations, and helping facilitate age-appropriate drills and games. The Junior Golf Coach will guide participants in basic golf skills, reinforce positive behavior, and promote core values such as sportsmanship and respect. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising groups of children, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment, communicating with lead coaches and program coordinators, and providing feedback to support students’ progress. The role may also involve light administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, coordinating with school staff, and assisting with special events and clinics.

Qualifications

• Foundational golf skills and knowledge, including Golf and basic Golf Instruction.
• Ability to support program operations with Golf Management awareness and organized practice setup.
• Coaching experience or strong interest in Coaching and Sports Coaching with youth or beginners.
• Enthusiasm for working with children and fostering confidence, character, and teamwork through sports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse participants.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
• Availability for after-school programs, weekends, and seasonal camps as needed.
• Prior experience in youth sports instruction, education, or recreation is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and be active outdoors for extended periods; willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
