HDR is seeking a Geologist I for our Woodcliff Lake location. You will conduct analyses, follow procedures, and assist in delivering geologic design options and reports. The role emphasizes collaboration with team members on environmental projects and field work in varied conditions.

The ideal candidate has a geology-related degree, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology or closely related field
• Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to travel may be required
• Physical condition to perform demanding tasks in rugged environments and remote locations

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed procedures and detailed instructions, conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of service deliverable documents
• Perform routine scientist assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures on projects that have clear, specified objectives and limited variables
• Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior scientists on larger projects
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
