Job summary

ERock's McCloud Power Station in El Paso, Texas seeks a Safety-focused Power Generation Technician 1 to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic corrective work on modular natural gas generation equipment within a high-density, single-site environment. You will document conditions, escalate issues, and collaborate with senior technicians and supervisors, with all training provided.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with engines, mechanical systems, or power generation equipment.
• Introductory exposure to electrical systems, controls, or instrumentation or willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow written procedures, checklists, maintenance standards and safety requirements.
• Willingness to work within a defined role scope while developing technical capability.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and shift communications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and basic corrective mechanical tasks on modular natural gas generation equipment.
• Support introductory electrical and controls-related tasks under supervision.
• Complete scheduled inspections and rounds to identify equipment conditions and issues.
• Document completed work and maintenance findings in required systems and logs.
• Adhere to safety requirements including PPE, LOTO, and site practices.
