Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Junior Full Stack Software Engineer to develop technical solutions for the Wargaming and Modeling & Simulations team. You will contribute across UI, backend, data integration, testing, and deployment, building APIs and services with Python while integrating with databases and APIs.

The role requires curiosity, self-direction, and the ability to research new tools, taking ownership from development to deployment in a small team. Security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of software development experience.
• Experience programming with Python.
• Experience building applications with a modern frontend framework or web development technology.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, software testing, and dependency or package management.
• Experience with databases and SQL.
• Experience with Git and source control.
• Ability to independently research technical problems.
• Ability to learn new languages, frameworks, and technologies.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or Engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across the application stack, including UI, backend services, data integration, testing and deployment.
• Develop and maintain web applications across frontend and backend components.
• Build backend services, APIs, and application logic using Python.
• Develop user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and integrate applications with databases, APIs and data sources.
• Write, test, debug, and maintain reliable software; use Git and collaborative workflows.
