Job summary

The Pittsburgh Steelers are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join their Technology Department. This full stack developer role will support maintenance and development of proprietary software systems, directly working with NFL and statistical data sets.

The ideal candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with experience in backend languages like Java or C#. Responsibilities include designing and testing web applications as well as maintaining SQL databases.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years’ experience with SQL and RDBMS.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented programming and software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and test web applications.
• Assist front office staff when application issues occur.
• Debug and remediate issues as they arise.
• Maintain and develop SQL databases.
• Help develop new features as requirements change.

Skills

Proficiency with backend languages (Java or C#)

Experience with SQL and RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)

Knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript)

Version control (Git)

Communication skills

Education
