Job summary

The Cadmus Group LLC is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to support an agile team building dashboards for a federal health care client.

You’ll collaborate across frontend and backend, implement features, and deploy scalable cloud applications with a focus on quality and maintainability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 1–2 years of experience in full-stack web development with hands-on experience building and maintaining web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Agile-oriented approach to engineering and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications on cloud infrastructure
  • Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using Angular and React
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
  • Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs with frontend applications and third‑party services
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on AWS cloud services
  • Configure and manage Nginx as a web server and reverse proxy or similar technologies
  • Work in Linux environments for deployment, troubleshooting, and automation
  • Write clean, maintainable, well‑documented code following standards
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and performance optimization
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Troubleshoot production issues and assist in maintaining application availability

Overview

What You’ll Be Doing The Junior Full Stack Developer role will be providing full stack development support to a highly successful and capable agile team that provides operational dashboards to a major federal government health care organization. The team is constantly developing new features and capabilities that will provide an excellent opportunity to enhance existing skill sets.

Cadmus provides government, commercial, and private organizations worldwide with technology‑empowered advisory and implementation services.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications on cloud infrastructure
  • Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using Angular and React
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
  • Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs with frontend applications and third‑party services

  • Work in Linux environments for application deployment, troubleshooting, and automation

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Agile‑oriented approach to engineering and operations, including the ability to work effectively in a flat organization and navigate ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
  • Must be a self‑starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and initiatives
  • Ability to independently research, evaluate, and recommend solutions for continuous improvement, including new frameworks and infrastructure requirements
  • Comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone to evaluate, test, and implement new technologies and frameworks
  • Passion for building scalable, highly available software solutions, with a proactive approach to automation, issue detection, and problem resolution
  • Embraces a continuous improvement mindset: fail fast, learn fast, and improve fast

Additional Information:

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. The actual salary will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
